Koden
Koden was founded in 1947 and has been a leader in the field of marine electronics ever since. Koden was the first company in the world to introduce the Color CRT Fish Finder and Color CRT Marine Radar. In fact, that is where I first experienced their products, on a fishing boat fitted with both their fish finder and radar. Their equipment always seems to ouze reliability and robustness! Although for sailors and weekender boaters, Koden is not a household name, commerically they are well known. It is said that this equipment has made a considerable contribution to the modernization of the Japanese fishing industry.
Koden had been developing GPS devices for marine use even before the full number of satellites were launched into orbit.
They continue to introduce innovative products in marine electronic product categories of GPS, Radar, Fish Finders and Direction Finders.
